Brad Myres vs Phil Hilley

Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica National Finals 2037,  taking place on 26/03/2037 from Spanish Town, Jamaica:

The Spanish Town venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Brad Myres (10 - 3) who hails from New Kingston, Jamaica and Phil Hilley(29 - 11) from New Kingston, Jamaica.  

Round 1: 

Hilley lands a jab.  
Myres lands a ramrod jab.  
Hilley quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Myres lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Hilley closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.

Myres is looking to keep his distance.  Hilley lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.

Hilley closes the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Hilley sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Hilley lands a right uppercut, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Hilley attempts to land a left hook, but Myres blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Myres drives a sharp cross into Hilley's body.  
Myres tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a stinging cross.  
Myres sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Hilley throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Myres lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Hilley is looking to close the distance and digs in a right hook to Myres's ribcage.

Hilley pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Myres's ribcage.  
Hilley sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Myres drives a left hook into Hilley's body.  
Hilley pivots to the side of his opponent.  Myres lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Myres clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Myres pushes his forearm into Hilley's face.  The referee warns Myres and breaks the clinch.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Myres's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.  Hilley's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Myres tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a jab, but Hilley sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.
