Pedro Villamar vs Saturnin Mandujano

Boxing Daily Report from the Puerto Rico National Finals 2037,  taking place on 14/04/2037 from San Juan, Puerto Rico:

The San Juan venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Pedro Villamar (8 - 4) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Saturnin Mandujano(32(1) - 12(1)) from Carolina, Puerto Rico.  

Round 1: 

Mandujano advances into close range.  Villamar hits home with a right hook.  Villamar attempts to land a left hook, but Mandujano dodges the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Mandujano is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Villamar switches the action to the outside.  Villamar sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Mandujano gets on the inside and walks Villamar onto the ropes.  Mandujano pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a firm left uppercut.  
Mandujano throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Mandujano lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  Mandujano ties up his opponent.  Villamar leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Mandujano walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Villamar digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Mandujano clinches his opponent.  Mandujano leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Villamar is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Mandujano closes the distance.  Mandujano sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Villamar throws a left hook, but Mandujano ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Mandujano pushes his forearm into Villamar's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mandujano about fouling.  
Villamar lands a sharp left hook.  Villamar throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Villamar steps to the outside.  Mandujano throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Mandujano's ribs.  
Mandujano lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Villamar recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mandujano drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Mandujano steps inside.  Villamar lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Villamar switches the action to the outside.  Villamar sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Villamar lands a straight 1 - 2.  Villamar tries to land a jab, but Mandujano slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Villamar throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Mandujano lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS VILLAMAR SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Villamar quickly recovers. 
Mandujano lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Mandujano lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Mandujano sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Mandujano connects with a right hook.  
Villamar hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  
Villamar advances into close range.  Villamar pivots to the right of his opponent.  Villamar throws a left uppercut, but Mandujano holds on to his opponent.  Mandujano is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Mandujano lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Villamar sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Mandujano lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mandujano is looking to close the distance.  Villamar throws a right uppercut, but Mandujano ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Villamar pushes his forearm into Mandujano's face.  The referee warns Villamar and breaks the clinch.  
Mandujano drives a sharp left hook into Villamar's ribs.  
Mandujano lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Mandujano lands with a stinging jab.  
Mandujano is looking to close the distance and whips in a spiteful left uppercut to Villamar's liver.  VILLAMAR IS HURT!  
Mandujano manages to force Villamar onto the ropes.  Mandujano is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Mandujano lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body, KNOCKING VILLAMAR DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Mandujano lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND VILLAMAR IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Villamar has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Mandujano is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  Mandujano ties up his opponent.  Mandujano hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Mandujano hits home with a right hook.  
Mandujano is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Mandujano steps inside and manages to force Villamar into a corner.  Villamar throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a BRUTAL left hook.  VILLAMAR IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Mandujano!
