Ismayil Shirinov vs Jere Huhtamo

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 17/04/2037 from Dushanbe, Tajikistan:

The Dushanbe venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ismayil Shirinov (41 - 8) who hails from Dushanbe, Tajikistan and Jere Huhtamo(4 - 11) from Vantaa, Finland.  

Round 1: 

Shirinov lands a solid jab.

Huhtamo manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Huhtamo throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Huhtamo throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Shirinov's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Shirinov tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a cross.  
Huhtamo throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Shirinov lands an overhand left to the head followed by a jab to the body.

Huhtamo closes the distance.  Shirinov lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Huhtamo is looking to close the distance.  Huhtamo hits home with a left hook.  Huhtamo goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Shirinov time to recover.  
Huhtamo walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Huhtamo pivots to the left of his opponent, but Shirinov connects with a left hook.  
Huhtamo pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.
