Boxing Daily Report from the Zimbabwe National Finals 2037,  taking place on 26/04/2037 from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe:

The Bulawayo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Michael Nkhatha (8 - 8(1)) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Chike Matongo(16(3) - 3) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

Matongo gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Matongo is looking to close the distance.  Nkhatha attempts to land a left hook, but Matongo parries the shot and counters with a right hook.

Nkhatha steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Matongo closes the distance.  Matongo pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a solid left hook to Nkhatha's body.

Matongo drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  Matongo clinches his opponent.  Nkhatha uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Matongo behind the head. 
Matongo lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Matongo manouvers Nkhatha onto the ropes.  Matongo lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Nkhatha is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Matongo gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Matongo holds on to his opponent.  Matongo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Nkhatha's kidney. 
Matongo lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Matongo ties up his opponent.  Matongo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Matongo about fouling.  
Matongo manages to force Nkhatha into the red corner.  Matongo digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  Matongo holds on to his opponent.  Nkhatha throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Matongo lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Matongo senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Matongo lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body, KNOCKING NKHATHA DOWN!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Matongo!
