Merrill Bayard vs Cody McNaughton

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 19/05/2037 from London, UK:

The London venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Merrill Bayard (27 - 8) who hails from Quebec City, Canada and Cody McNaughton(5 - 4) from London, UK.  

Round 1: 

McNaughton pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
McNaughton gets on the inside.  McNaughton pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a stinging left hook into his opponents liver.  
Bayard tries to land a right uppercut, but McNaughton sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
McNaughton steps inside and lands a left hook.

McNaughton is looking to close the distance.  McNaughton steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Bayard accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on McNaughton.  Bayard drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McNaughton's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
