Chung-yong Um vs Hugh Malila

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 27/06/2037 from Changwon, South Korea:

The Changwon venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Chung-yong Um (8 - 4) who hails from Changwon, South Korea and Hugh Malila(1 - 4) from Ndola, Zambia.  

Round 1: 

Malila tries to land a right hook, but Um parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Um digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Um manages to force Malila onto the ropes.  Um sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a solid left uppercut.  
Um steps inside and is on target with a left hook to Malila's liver.  
Um finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Um digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Malila sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Um lands a right hook.  
Malila manouvers Um onto the ropes.  Malila attempts to land a right hook, but Um sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Malila closes the distance.  Um drives a firm right hook into Malila's body.  
Um lands a jab.  
Um is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Um gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut.  
Um steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Um sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a firm right uppercut to Malila's ribs.  
Um is on target with a left hook to Malila's ribs.

Malila throws a right hook, but Um holds on to his opponent.  Um leans on his opponent using all his weight. Um is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Um and breaks the clinch.  
Malila forces Um to back into the ropes.  Malila quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Um hits home with a firm right hook.  
Um gets on the inside and connects with a sharp right hook.  Um ties up his opponent.  Um pushes his forearm into Malila's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Um to stop fouling.  
Um hits home with a left hook.  
Um steps inside.  Um quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Um throws a left hook, but is not on target.  Um holds on to his opponent.  Malila pushes his forearm into Um's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Malila lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Um lands a right hook.  
Malila is on target with a left uppercut.  
Um closes the distance.  Um sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Um digs in a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Malila advances into close range.  Um is on target with a left hook.  Um clinches his opponent.  Um tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Malila's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Um to stop fouling.
