Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 04/07/2037 from New York City, USA:

The New York City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Rob Craib (55(5) - 7) who hails from New York City, USA and Joey Russell(0 - 5) from Houston, USA.  

Round 1: 

Russell throws a right hook, but Craib ties up his opponent.  Russell is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Craib feints a cross, and then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Craib closes the distance and drives a sharp left hook into Russell's body.  Craib ties up his opponent.  Craib is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Russell tries to land a jab, but Craib slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.

Craib steps inside.  Craib sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.

Craib advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Craib pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a right uppercut into Russell's body.  
Craib manages to force Russell into a corner.  Craib lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Craib ties up his opponent.  Craib is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Craib quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Craib lands a solid left hook.  Craib holds on to his opponent.  Craib leans on his opponent using all his weight. Craib is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Craib lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Craib ties up his opponent.  Russell pushes his forearm into Craib's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Craib lands a hard jab.  
Russell pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Craib leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Russell steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Craib gets on the inside and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Craib is looking to close the distance and is on target with a firm left uppercut to Russell's body.  
Craib lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Craib lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Russell pivots to the right of his opponent.  Russell attempts to land a right hook, but Craib sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Craib lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Craib's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Craib lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Craib lands a jab.  
Craib steps away from his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Craib tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Craib hits the target with a stinging jab.  
Craib hits home with a stinging jab.  
Craib lands with a solid jab.  Craib throws an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Craib lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.

Some sustained pressure from Craib could be enough to finish Russell!  Craib lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head, AND RUSSELL IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  It looks like Russell has now recovered from that shot earlier.
