Quico Calistro vs Vicente Gabriel

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 27/07/2039 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil:

The Rio de Janeiro venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Quico Calistro (5 - 24) who hails from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Vicente Gabriel(1 - 7) from Mexicali, Mexico.  

Round 1: 

Calistro tries to keep the action at long range.  Gabriel lands a jab.  
Calistro pivots to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Calistro tries to land a left hook, but Gabriel slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Gabriel closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.

Calistro lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Calistro switches the action to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Gabriel advances into close range and attempts to land a left hook, but Calistro slips the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.

Gabriel is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a right hook, but Calistro blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Calistro lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Gabriel is looking to close the distance and manouvers Calistro onto the ropes.  Calistro digs in a right hook to Gabriel's ribs.

Gabriel advances into close range and forces Calistro to retreat onto the ropes.  Calistro connects with a left hook.

Calistro switches the action to the outside.  Calistro feints a right hook, and then finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Calistro throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Gabriel time to recover.  
Gabriel forces Calistro to back into a corner.  Calistro lands a solid left hook.  
Calistro lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Calistro lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.
