Steven Golightly vs Michael Sealy

Boxing Daily Report from the boxeraifan promoted show at Lakewood Harrower, Lakewood,  taking place on 02/12/2025:

Clearly boxeraifan have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Colorado Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Steven Golightly (4 - 13(1) - 1) who hails from Greeley, USA and Michael Sealy(3 - 10 - 2) from Denver, USA.  Both Golightly and Sealy weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Balmer, and the three ringside judges are Johnny Emslie, Sam Coghill and Gregor Alexander.  

Round 1: 

Golightly hits home with a cross.  
Golightly closes the distance.  Sealy pivots to the left of his opponent.  Sealy throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Golightly to the neutral corner.  He warns Sealy that continued fouling will result in a point deduction.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Golightly dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Golightly.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
