Mick Umaru vs Clinton Ofosu-Ayeh

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Abrankese Stadium, Kumasi,  taking place on 28/02/2026:

Clearly African Fusion have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the African Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mick Umaru (14(7) - 3(3)) who hails from Warri, Nigeria and Clinton Ofosu-Ayeh(18 - 5(4)) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Umaru weighed in at 236 pounds and 13 ounces, while Ofosu-Ayeh weighed in at 227 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Bob Antwi, and the three ringside judges are Farhan Sahli, Ubanwa Akrofi and Connor Salifu.  

Round 1: 

Umaru feints a cross, tricking Ofosu-Ayeh into throwing a left uppercut counter.  Umaru springs the trap and counters with  a sharp left hook.

Ofosu-Ayeh digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Umaru clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Umaru pushes his forearm into Ofosu-Ayeh's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Umaru feints a jab, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ofosu-Ayeh gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Ofosu-Ayeh lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Umaru clinches his opponent.  Umaru leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Ofosu-Ayeh pushes his forearm into Umaru's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ofosu-Ayeh throws a right hook, but Umaru ties up his opponent.  Umaru pushes his forearm into Ofosu-Ayeh's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Umaru switches the action to the outside.  Umaru feints a left hook, and then lands a jab to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.  
Ofosu-Ayeh throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Ofosu-Ayeh attempts to land a cross, but Umaru dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Umaru quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a firm cross.  
Umaru lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Umaru lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND SENDS OFOSU-AYEH SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.

He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut, cross and a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS OFOSU-AYEH TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  
Umaru switches the action to the outside.  Umaru senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Umaru lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, DROPPING OFOSU-AYEH TO THE CANVAS!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Umaru!
