Matthew Barnes vs David Mabie

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Michigan promoted show at Corey Karpiak Gym, Detroit,  taking place on 02/03/2026:

Clearly AI USA-Michigan have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Michigan Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Matthew Barnes (10 - 7 - 1) who hails from Detroit, USA and David Mabie(8 - 4 - 3) from Detroit, USA.  Barnes weighed in at 147 pounds, while Mabie weighed in at 146 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jonathan Bees, and the three ringside judges are Andy Duke, Andy Duke and John Kennan.
