Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Complejo Ferial de Puerto Rico, Ponce,  taking place on 04/05/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montenegro El Pirolitico Merino (14 - 0) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Xavier Sosa(14 - 2 - 1) from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic.  Both Merino and Sosa weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Porfio Miguel, and the three ringside judges are Vegas Baquero, Beltran Correira and Porfio Miguel.
