Faisal Ghandour vs Irfan Akbari

Boxing Daily Report from the Bally's Boys promoted show at Waqar Farhi Gym, Aden,  taking place on 03/08/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Yemen Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Yemen TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Faisal Ghandour (7 - 9 - 2) who hails from Aden, Yemen and Irfan Akbari(6 - 3) from Sana'a, Yemen.  Ghandour weighed in at 122 pounds, while Akbari weighed in at 121 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kashif Yakub, and the three ringside judges are Amjad Alsamarrai, Rashid Ebrahim and Syed Alhamdan.
