Cris Melgarejo vs Diego Montijo

Boxing Daily Report from the Yeray Heras promoted show at Roman Salvas Gym, Monterrey,  taking place on 22/04/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mexico-Nuevo Leon Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cris Melgarejo (12 - 5 - 3) who hails from Monterrey, Mexico and Diego Montijo(8 - 3 - 6 - 1(NC)) from San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico.  Melgarejo weighed in at 108 pounds, while Montijo weighed in at 107 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Salamanca, and the three ringside judges are Cortez Gloria, Joaquin Andino and Guido Castilla.
