Jose Sabino vs Cipriano Grijalva

Boxing Daily Report from the Castro Cigars promoted show at Havana Cornelio, Havana,  taking place on 24/08/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cuba Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jose Sabino (15(7) - 0) who hails from Santa Clara, Cuba and Cipriano Grijalva(10 - 9 - 2) from Havana, Cuba.  Sabino weighed in at 121 pounds and 8 ounces, while Grijalva weighed in at 121 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Juan Serbin, and the three ringside judges are Cipriano Gomez, Reyes Amaro and Jax Telleria.  

Round 1: 

Sabino hits home with a stinging jab.  
Grijalva is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but Sabino clinches his opponent.  Sabino pushes his forearm into Grijalva's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sabino.  
Sabino is looking to keep his distance and lands two jabs followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Sabino lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Grijalva attempts to land a cross, but Sabino sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Grijalva throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Grijalva walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Grijalva throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Grijalva advances into close range.  Sabino hits home with a firm left hook.  
Sabino tries to keep the action at long range.  Sabino feints a left hook, and then hits home with a hard jab.  
Sabino connects with a cross.  
Sabino sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand right followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Sabino steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  Sabino throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Sabino is looking to keep his distance.  Sabino feints a right hook, and then is on target with a cross.  
Sabino lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Sabino hits home with a sharp jab.

Sabino tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross to the head, an overhand left to the head and a cross to the body.  
Sabino lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Grijalva closes the distance and manouvers Sabino onto the ropes.  Sabino digs in a right uppercut to Grijalva's body.  
Sabino lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Grijalva gets on the inside.  Grijalva pivots to the left of his opponent.  Sabino is on target with a solid left hook.  
Sabino throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Sabino clinches his opponent.  Sabino is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Grijalva pushes his forearm into Sabino's face.  The ref breaks Sabino's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sabino tries to keep the action at long range and finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Sabino sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Sabino steps away from his opponent and lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Sabino lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Sabino feints a right hook, but Grijalva does not fall for it and lands with a right hook.  
Sabino quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  
Sabino lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Sabino feints a cross, and then lands a straight 1 - 2, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Grijalva almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Grijalva is looking to close the distance.  Sabino lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sabino lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Sabino tries to step out of his opponents range and hits the target with a hard jab.  
Grijalva advances into close range and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Grijalva pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sabino throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Sabino holds on to his opponent.  Sabino is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Grijalva's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Grijalva steps inside and throws a left uppercut, but Sabino holds on to his opponent.  Sabino uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Grijalva behind the head. Grijalva tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Sabino behind the head. Grijalva pushes his forearm into Sabino's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Grijalva about fouling.  
Sabino tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Grijalva quickly recovers.
