Robert Mings vs John Lithgow

Boxing Daily Report from the Tone promoted show at New York City Callacghan, New York City,  taking place on 03/03/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mid Atlantic Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Robert Mings (10 - 7 - 4) who hails from New York City, USA and John Lithgow(14(9) - 0) from Stamford, USA.  Mings weighed in at 114 pounds And 3 ounces, while Lithgow weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James McQueen, and the three ringside judges are Ian Shea, Ben Hopkins and Noel Eddington.  

Round 1: 

Lithgow connects with an overhand right.  
Lithgow is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Lithgow clinches his opponent.  Lithgow pushes his forearm into Mings's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Lithgow about fouling.  
Lithgow lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Lithgow connects with a sharp cross.  
Lithgow closes the distance.  Mings throws a left hook, but Lithgow holds on to his opponent.  Mings is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mings steps away from his opponent.  Lithgow quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Lithgow is on target with a jab.  
Lithgow lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Lithgow steps inside and digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Mings steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Lithgow dodges the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Lithgow is looking to close the distance and manouvers Mings into the corner.  Lithgow drives a weighty right hook into Mings's body.  MINGS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Lithgow ties up his opponent.  Lithgow leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Lithgow's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Mings quickly recovers.

Lithgow advances into close range and manouvers Mings into a corner.  Lithgow sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Mings quickly recovers.

Lithgow advances into close range and lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Mings is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Lithgow hits home with a spiteful jab.  
Lithgow steps inside and is on target with a sharp left hook to Mings's liver.  
Mings tries to step out of his opponents range.  Lithgow attempts to land a jab, but Mings sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Lithgow closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Lithgow ties up his opponent.  Lithgow uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Mings's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Mings recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Lithgow closes the distance and is on target with a VICIOUS left hook.  MINGS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Mings recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Lithgow connects with a sharp right hook.  Lithgow ties up his opponent.  Lithgow leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Lithgow's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lithgow drives a jab into Mings's body.  
Lithgow steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Mings almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Lithgow tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a jab.

Lithgow advances into close range and manages to force Mings into the corner.  Lithgow lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.
