Kian Carroll vs Edward Elder

Boxing Daily Report from the Elliot Britton promoted show at Elliot Gym, Bristol,  taking place on 01/05/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Kian Carroll (4 - 0) who hails from Bangor, UK and Edward Elder(2 - 2) from Glasgow, UK.  Both Carroll and Elder weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lucas Ervine, and the three ringside judges are Ian Kitson, Hugh McCabe and Brendan Beddoe.  

Round 1: 

Elder connects with a right hook.

Carroll gets on the inside and walks Elder into the corner.  Carroll lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

Carroll is on target with a right hook.  
Carroll advances into close range and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Carroll lands a stinging left hook.  
Elder throws a left hook, but Carroll ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Carroll pushes his forearm into Elder's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Carroll about fouling.  
Elder throws a right hook, but Carroll clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Elder pushes his forearm into Carroll's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carroll lands a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Elder's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
