David Higgins vs Ashley Mustard

Boxing Daily Report from the yahir promoted show at Municipal Auditorium Little Theatre, Kansas City,  taking place on 22/10/2035:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Missouri Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Higgins (20(3) - 3(2)) who hails from St. Louis, USA and Ashley Mustard(19 - 8 - 2) from St. Louis, USA.  Both Higgins and Mustard weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Phil Ekberg, and the three ringside judges are Dave Sullivan, Dom Quinn and Callum Johansen.  

Round 1: 

Higgins steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Mustard tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.

The foul has worsened the damage  around the left eye.
