Lethalde Werchs vs Jefke Gilis

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Netherlands-South Holland promoted show at Rotterdam Flory, Rotterdam,  taking place on 29/10/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Netherlands-South Holland Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lethalde Werchs (17(6) - 3 - 1) who hails from Rotterdam, Netherlands and Jefke Gilis(9 - 13(3) - 1) from Rotterdam, Netherlands.  Werchs weighed in at 118 pounds, while Gilis weighed in at 119 pounds.    As Gilis came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Petrus Ermarin, and the three ringside judges are Ruud Mercator, Claudy Van de Dicke and Maeterle Geert.  

Round 1: 

Werchs gets on the inside and drives a firm left hook into Gilis's liver.  
Werchs is on target with a jab.  
Werchs steps to the outside.  Gilis sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Werchs throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Werchs pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Werchs is on target with a solid cross to Gilis's body.  
Werchs closes the distance and connects with a firm left hook.  
Werchs advances into close range and lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Gilis tries to step out of his opponents range.  Werchs sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Werchs connects with a stinging left hook.  
Werchs gets on the inside.  Werchs connects with a firm left hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gilis dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Gilis pivots from in front of his opponent.  Werchs connects with a cross.  
Werchs pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Werchs lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Werchs lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Werchs advances into close range and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Werchs is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Werchs digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.

Werchs gets on the inside and is on target with a solid right hook.  
Werchs lands a stinging jab.  
Werchs closes the distance.  Werchs pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Werchs attempts to land a jab, but Gilis slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Werchs manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Gilis tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Werchs pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a firm left hook.  
Gilis attempts to land a jab, but Werchs slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Werchs steps inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Gilis recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Werchs is on target with a cross.  
Gilis steps away from his opponent.  Werchs lands a jab.  
Werchs steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Werchs is looking to force the stoppage!  Werchs lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, DROPPING GILIS TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Werchs lands a hurtful right uppercut.  GILIS IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  It looks like Gilis has now recovered from that shot earlier.
