Cipriano Chaparro vs Carlos Verde

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Santiago Melena Gym, Rio de Janeiro,  taking place on 14/12/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Cipriano Chaparro (3(3) - 0) who hails from Brasilia, Brazil and Carlos Verde(1 - 0) from Natal, Brazil.  Chaparro weighed in at 160 pounds, while Verde weighed in at 159 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Saturnin Pintor, and the three ringside judges are Esteban Veiga, Roman Samudio and Cuba Sola.  

Round 1: 

Chaparro is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Chaparro digs in a solid right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Chaparro lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Chaparro holds on to his opponent.  Chaparro is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Chaparro and breaks the clinch.  
Chaparro snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Chaparro advances into close range and connects with a right hook.  
Chaparro drives a solid left hook into Verde's ribs.  Chaparro clinches his opponent.  Chaparro uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Verde behind the head. Chaparro leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Chaparro closes the distance and throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Chaparro holds on to his opponent.  Chaparro is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Chaparro uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Verde's kidney. 
Chaparro steps inside and lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Chaparro advances into close range and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Chaparro drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Chaparro manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Chaparro drives a solid left hook into Verde's ribs.  
Chaparro is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Chaparro stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Chaparro digs in a telling left uppercut to his opponents body.  VERDE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Verde now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Chaparro gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.  Chaparro throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Verde's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Verde's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Chaparro crashes a hurtful left hook to his opponents body.  VERDE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Verde almost instantly recovers. 
Chaparro advances into close range.  Chaparro sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Chaparro lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Chaparro lands a cross.  
Chaparro gets on the inside.  Chaparro pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a left hook into Verde's ribs.  
Chaparro advances into close range and is on target with a left hook.  
Chaparro closes the distance and digs in a sharp right hook to Verde's body.  
Chaparro pivots to the right of his opponent.  Verde throws a left uppercut, but Chaparro clinches his opponent.  Chaparro leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Verde forces Chaparro to back into the corner.  Chaparro lands a jab to the head, a right hook to the body and a jab to the head.  
Chaparro throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Chaparro holds on to his opponent.  Chaparro leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Chaparro cuts off the ring, trapping Verde on the ropes.  Chaparro lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Chaparro clinches his opponent.  Chaparro tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Verde behind the head. 
Chaparro drives a left hook into Verde's ribs.  
Chaparro pivots to the left of his opponent and whips in a hurtful right hook to his opponents body.  VERDE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.

Chaparro steps inside and whips in a hurtful left hook to Verde's ribs.  VERDE IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 9.  
Chaparro hits home with a firm cross.  
Chaparro steps inside.  Verde tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Chaparro lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
As Chaparro tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Verde dabs at his face checking for damage.  Verde has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Chaparro advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, KNOCKING VERDE DOWN!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Chaparro!
