Neil Skene vs Symon Popik

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles,  taking place on 05/03/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Neil Skene (24(17) - 1(1)) who hails from Boston, USA and Symon Popik(33(4) - 15(5)) from Mariupol, Ukraine.  Both Skene and Popik weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dillon Ireland, and the three ringside judges are Billy Fergusson, Dominic Owen and Amon Scroggie.  

Round 1: 

Popik closes the distance.  Skene pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a solid right hook.  
Skene hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Skene lands a double jab to his opponents head.  Skene throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Popik is looking to close the distance.  Skene pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Skene tries to keep the action at long range and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Skene tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a jab, but Popik sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Skene is looking to keep his distance.  Popik lands a cross.  Popik throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Popik gets on the inside.  Skene quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!

Popik is looking to close the distance.  Skene hits home with a solid right uppercut.  
Skene hits home with a stinging jab.  
Popik gets on the inside.  Skene hits home with a left hook.  
Popik steps inside and forces Skene to retreat onto the ropes.  Popik lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Popik advances into close range.  Skene pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a stinging right hook to Popik's body.  
Skene connects with a sharp cross.  
Popik is looking to close the distance and drives a right uppercut into Skene's ribcage.

Skene steps to the outside and is on target with a jab to Popik's body.  
Popik quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Popik attempts to land a cross, but Skene slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Skene is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Popik gets on the inside.  Skene senses Popik is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Skene lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS POPIK TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Popik now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Skene is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Popik tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a MASSIVE cross.  POPIK IS HURT!
