Angel Malagon vs Greg Howells

Boxing Daily Report from the Rico Boxing Promotions promoted show at Columbus Damrow, Columbus,  taking place on 10/01/2036:

Clearly Rico Boxing Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Angel Malagon (20(14) - 0) who hails from Coral Springs, USA and Greg Howells(10 - 1) from Little Rock, USA.  Malagon weighed in at 154 pounds, while Howells weighed in at 153 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Neil MacKenna, and the three ringside judges are Paul Strassman, Nick Lurie and James Marean.  

Round 1: 

Malagon steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Malagon lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Howells sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Howells advances into close range.  Howells quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Malagon's ribcage.  
Howells forces Malagon to back into the ropes.  Malagon lands a solid cross.  
Howells drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Malagon pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a stinging left uppercut to Howells's body.  
Malagon steps to the outside.  Howells hits home with an overhand left.  
Malagon sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Howells is on target with an overhand left.  
Howells closes the distance.  Malagon lands a left uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Malagon tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a sharp cross.  
Howells is looking to close the distance and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  Howells throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Howells closes the distance.  Malagon is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Malagon lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Malagon is on target with a left hook to Howells's body.  Howells wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Malagon.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.  
Malagon steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Howells sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Malagon is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Howells lands a cross.  Howells tries to land a left hook, but Malagon parries the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Malagon tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Howells steps inside.  Malagon pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a sharp left hook into Howells's liver.  
Howells walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Howells attempts to land a right hook, but Malagon parries the shot and counters with a VICIOUS right uppercut.  HOWELLS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Malagon knows Howells is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Malagon lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands three consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Malagon steps to the outside.  Malagon connects with a BRUTAL cross.  HOWELLS IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Howells now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Howells's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Malagon is looking to keep his distance and is on target with an overhand right.  
Malagon lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Howells lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Howells closes the distance and hits home with a right hook.
