Elias Cacho vs Santiago Resendez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Spain-Basque Country promoted show at Donostia-San Sebasti Chapa, Donostia-San Sebastian,  taking place on 06/02/2036:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Spain-Basque Country Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Marca TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Elias Cacho (20(2) - 0) who hails from Bilbao, Spain and Santiago Resendez(11 - 16 - 1) from Donostia-San Sebastian, Spain.  Both Cacho and Resendez weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Urenda, and the three ringside judges are Dimos Artiles, Desiderio Angeles and Alejandro Perdomo.  

Round 1: 

Cacho is looking to close the distance.  Cacho quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into Resendez's body.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Cacho.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
