Steven Whittet vs Dan Ednie

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Olympic Stadium, Montreal,  taking place on 23/02/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Steven Whittet (9(6) - 0) who hails from Hamilton, Canada and Dan Ednie(15 - 1 - 1) from Edmonton, Canada.  Whittet weighed in at 125 pounds and 12 ounces, while Ednie weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Varocher Painchaud, and the three ringside judges are Stephen Morton, Verrier Luna and Oscar Galloway.  

Round 1: 

Whittet is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Whittet holds on to his opponent.  Whittet leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Whittet pushes his forearm into Ednie's face.  The referee warns Whittet and breaks the clinch.

Ednie lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Whittet advances into close range and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Ednie throws a left uppercut, but Whittet holds on to his opponent.  Whittet uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Ednie behind the head. The ref breaks Whittet's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ednie lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Whittet walks Ednie into the red corner.  Whittet sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Whittet drives a solid right hook into Ednie's ribcage.
