Michael Mkuu vs Henry Simiyu

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Kisumu promoted show at Mark Aiyabei Gym, Kisumu,  taking place on 27/02/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Kisumu Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Mkuu (5 - 12(1) - 2) who hails from Kisumu, Kenya and Henry Simiyu(3 - 5 - 3) from Kisumu, Kenya.  Mkuu weighed in at 226 pounds, while Simiyu weighed in at 236 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mark Lavatsa, and the three ringside judges are Peter Kirui, Mick Mutu and Peter Kirui.  

Round 1: 

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mkuu dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Mkuu feints a right hook, and then is on target with a cross.
