Jemond Marais vs James Taggart

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Olympic Stadium, Montreal,  taking place on 09/02/2036:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Jemond Marais (2 - 0) who hails from Quebec City, Canada and James Taggart(3 - 1 - 1) from Hamilton, Canada.  Marais weighed in at 146 pounds And 13 ounces, while Taggart weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Mabon, and the three ringside judges are Prewitt Gedeon, Nicholas Prior and Paul Coupland.  

Round 1: 

Marais steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

Marais pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Marais walks Taggart down, trapping him on the ropes.  Marais lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Marais ties up his opponent.  Marais is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Marais to stop fouling.

Marais advances into close range.  Marais retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Taggart accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Marais.  
Marais gets on the inside and drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Taggart feints a jab, tricking Marais into throwing a left hook counter.  Taggart springs the trap, countering with  a left hook.  
Marais lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Marais lands three consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  Marais clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks Marais's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Marais is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Taggart connects with a cross.  
Marais lands a stiff jab.  
Marais is on target with a solid left hook to Taggart's body.  
Marais digs in a solid left uppercut to his opponents body.
