Colin Peters vs Lisandro Manjarrez

Boxing Daily Report from the Kaamba Promotions promoted show at Waterbury Bradley, Waterbury,  taking place on 04/03/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Connecticut Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Colin Peters (11 - 21(1)) who hails from Waterbury, USA and Lisandro Manjarrez(23(2) - 7) from Bridgeport, USA.  Peters weighed in at 111 pounds And 3 ounces, while Manjarrez weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Cragg, and the three ringside judges are Ian Parry, Andy Swaney and Hayden Blacketer.  

Round 1: 

Manjarrez steps inside.  Peters hits home with a right hook.  
Peters lands a cross.  
Manjarrez drives a left hook into Peters's body.  
Manjarrez walks Peters onto the ropes.  Peters throws a left hook, but Manjarrez ties up his opponent.  Peters leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Manjarrez steps inside.  Manjarrez sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Manjarrez.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Manjarrez connects with a stinging left hook.  
Manjarrez lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Peters attempts to land a right hook, but Manjarrez blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Manjarrez walks Peters onto the ropes.  Manjarrez lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Manjarrez ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Manjarrez pushes his forearm into Peters's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Manjarrez about fouling.  
Manjarrez connects with a solid left uppercut.  As Manjarrez tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Peters dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Manjarrez advances into close range and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Manjarrez sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Manjarrez attempts to land a right hook, but Peters blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Peters is looking to close the distance.  Manjarrez hits home with a firm left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Peters's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Peters's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
