Sam Bringhurst vs Nathan Cavazos

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Elzie Odom Athletic Center, Arlington,  taking place on 21/03/2036:

Clearly Showtime Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Sam Bringhurst (4(4) - 1) who hails from Riverside, USA and Nathan Cavazos(2 - 2) from Chula Vista, USA.  Bringhurst weighed in at 135 pounds, while Cavazos weighed in at 134 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Nicholas Wynne, and the three ringside judges are Spencer Aurelio, Danny Henderson and Greg Speed.  

Round 1: 

Bringhurst advances into close range.  Cavazos throws a right hook, but Bringhurst ties up his opponent.  Bringhurst pushes his forearm into Cavazos's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Bringhurst to stop fouling.  
Bringhurst lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Bringhurst closes the distance and drives a firm left hook into his opponents liver.  
Bringhurst gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Bringhurst ties up his opponent.  Bringhurst leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Bringhurst digs in a solid left hook to Cavazos's body.  As Bringhurst tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cavazos dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Bringhurst digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Cavazos pivots from in front of his opponent.  Cavazos throws a right hook, but Bringhurst clinches his opponent.  Bringhurst leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Bringhurst gets on the inside and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.

Bringhurst hits home with a solid right hook.  
Bringhurst walks Cavazos onto the ropes.  Bringhurst digs in a left hook to Cavazos's body.  
Bringhurst steps inside and hits home with a left hook.

Bringhurst walks Cavazos onto the ropes.  Bringhurst pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.  
Bringhurst lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Cavazos's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Cavazos's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Bringhurst advances into close range.  Cavazos throws a left hook, but Bringhurst clinches his opponent.  Bringhurst is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Bringhurst to stop fouling.  
Bringhurst lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Bringhurst steps inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Bringhurst ties up his opponent.  Bringhurst is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Bringhurst walks Cavazos down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Bringhurst lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Cavazos tries to land a left hook, but Bringhurst blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Bringhurst lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Bringhurst is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Bringhurst lands a cross, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  It looks like Cavazos has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Bringhurst is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Bringhurst lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Bringhurst closes the distance.  Bringhurst knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Bringhurst lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS CAVAZOS SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Bringhurst!
