Michael Downie vs Ricky Hall

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Jamaica-Saint Andrew promoted show at Harry Beaton Gym, New Kingston,  taking place on 26/03/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Jamaica-Saint Andrew Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Downie (7 - 19(3) - 2) who hails from New Kingston, Jamaica and Ricky Hall(19(2) - 8(1) - 1) from New Kingston, Jamaica.  Both Downie and Hall weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ricky Eckford, and the three ringside judges are Zachary Rebecca, John Nichol and Kyle Burnside.  

Round 1: 

Downie gets on the inside.  Hall lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Downie tries to land a cross, but Hall sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Hall pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a sharp left hook.  
Hall lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Hall drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  
Hall advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Hall lands a right hook.  
Downie tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook to Downie's ribs.  
Downie gets on the inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Hall lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Hall steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Hall gets on the inside.  Hall pivots from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Hall advances into close range and lands a firm right hook.  
Hall is on target with a solid left hook.  
Hall closes the distance.  Hall voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Downie is whaling away with hooks, but Hall keeps his defence tight.

Downie tries to land a cross, but Hall slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Hall advances into close range and lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Downie's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Downie's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Downie's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Hall lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Hall clinches his opponent.  Downie pushes his forearm into Hall's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Downie.  
Hall is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Hall lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND DROPS DOWNIE TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Hall connects with a HUGE left hook.  DOWNIE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Hall ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Hall's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Downie now seems to have his senses back.  
Downie tries to land a cross, but Hall slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Hall is on target with a powerful left hook.  DOWNIE IS HURT!  Downie recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Hall lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Downie steps away from his opponent and connects with an overhand left.  
Hall throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Hall steps inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.
