Shayan Aliyev vs Waqas Askerov

Boxing Daily Report from the Feruka Promotions promoted show at Tabriz Ibragimbekov, Tabriz,  taking place on 28/04/2036:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Iran-East Azerbaijan Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Shayan Aliyev (9 - 11 - 4) who hails from Tabriz, Iran and Waqas Askerov(19 - 1 - 1) from Tabriz, Iran.  Aliyev weighed in at 140 pounds, while Askerov weighed in at 139 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Obaid Saah, and the three ringside judges are Zain Topchubashov, Ibrahim Garakhanov and Zuffur Karakhanov.  

Round 1: 

Aliyev advances into close range.  Askerov pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Aliyev gets on the inside.  Askerov sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Askerov dabs at his face checking for damage.

Askerov walks his opponent into a corner.  Askerov pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.

That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Askerov.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
