Telford de Vigny vs Bart Hopes

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Brockton Oval, Vancouver,  taking place on 03/05/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Telford de Vigny (17(12) - 0) who hails from Quebec City, Canada and Bart Hopes(11 - 5) from Halifax, Canada.  Both de Vigny and Hopes weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Jones, and the three ringside judges are James Clelland, Kai Sundy and Arthur Brown.  

Round 1:

Hopes closes the distance.  de Vigny whips in a hurtful right hook to his opponents body.  HOPES IS HURT!  de Vigny clinches his opponent.  de Vigny is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures de Vigny about fouling.  
de Vigny steps to the outside.  de Vigny is looking to force the stoppage!  de Vigny lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS HOPES DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Hopes has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
