Leonardo Gonsalez vs Santiago Carvajal

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Puerto Rico-San Juan promoted show at Rogelio Bohorquez Gym, San Juan,  taking place on 05/05/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leonardo Gonsalez (10(2) - 0) who hails from Carolina, Puerto Rico and Santiago Carvajal(16 - 22(7) - 2) from Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  Both Gonsalez and Carvajal weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aimon Linares, and the three ringside judges are Angel Zambrano, Angel Zambrano and Desiderio Cuellar.  

Round 1: 

Carvajal throws a left hook, but Gonsalez holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Gonsalez pushes his forearm into Carvajal's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Gonsalez digs in a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Gonsalez steps inside.  Gonsalez pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS CARVAJAL SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Carvajal quickly recovers. 
Gonsalez leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Carvajal steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Carvajal sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Gonsalez lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Gonsalez ties up his opponent.  Gonsalez leans on his opponent using all his weight. Gonsalez tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Carvajal behind the head. 
Carvajal connects with a right hook.  
Carvajal pivots to the right of his opponent.  Carvajal tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Carvajal sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Gonsalez finds the target with a jab.  
Gonsalez is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Carvajal sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gonsalez hits home with a right uppercut.  
Gonsalez hits home with a cross.  
Gonsalez is looking to close the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Carvajal throws a left hook, but Gonsalez clinches his opponent.  Gonsalez tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Carvajal behind the head. As they grapple, Gonsalez pushes his forearm into Carvajal's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gonsalez connects with a spiteful right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE CARVAJAL WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gonsalez dabs at his face checking for damage.  Carvajal recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Gonsalez hits home with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Carvajal's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Carvajal is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  Gonsalez tries to land a left hook, but Carvajal blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  Carvajal quickly recovers.

Carvajal quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gonsalez throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Gonsalez ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Carvajal pushes his forearm into Gonsalez's face.  The ref breaks Gonsalez's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gonsalez lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND CARVAJAL IS DOWN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Gonsalez!
