Faisal Akhter vs Prince Thompson

Boxing Daily Report from the Mbeki Promotions promoted show at Shehu Adekunde Gym, Aba,  taking place on 02/05/2036:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Nigeria-Abia State Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Faisal Akhter (5 - 6 - 1) who hails from Aba, Nigeria and Prince Thompson(7 - 19 - 2) from Aba, Nigeria.  Both Akhter and Thompson weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yakubu Egbedi, and the three ringside judges are Emem Gberu, Bright Imenger and Matthew Offoin.  

Round 1: 

Akhter retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Thompson tries to land a cross, but Akhter parries the shot and counters with a right hook.
