Paul Stevenson vs Gavin MacLeay

Boxing Daily Report from the Ililonga Promotions promoted show at Milwaukee Hughes, Milwaukee,  taking place on 06/05/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Wisconsin Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paul Stevenson (5 - 3 - 1) who hails from Green Bay, USA and Gavin MacLeay(16 - 14 - 2) from Madison, USA.  Stevenson weighed in at 115 pounds, while MacLeay weighed in at 114 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dan Fentress, and the three ringside judges are Michael Yeamans, Davie Ugbusien and Ethan McKenna.  

Round 1: 

MacLeay lands a right hook.  
Stevenson tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
MacLeay throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
MacLeay is on target with a left hook.

MacLeay throws a right uppercut, but is not on target.  MacLeay ties up his opponent.  MacLeay tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Stevenson's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns MacLeay to stop fouling.  
Stevenson steps to the outside and is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Stevenson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  MacLeay is on target with a left hook.  
MacLeay is on target with a cross.  
MacLeay lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
MacLeay hits home with a right hook.

Stevenson steps away from his opponent.  MacLeay is on target with a cross.  
MacLeay steps inside and lands a right uppercut.  
Stevenson pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a left hook into MacLeay's body.  
MacLeay lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
MacLeay sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  MacLeay tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Stevenson is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab.  
MacLeay closes the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
MacLeay walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  MacLeay digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.

Stevenson switches the action to the outside.  MacLeay drives a cross into his opponents body.  
MacLeay is looking to close the distance and connects with a left hook.  
MacLeay walks his opponent into the corner.  Stevenson lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
MacLeay steps inside.  Stevenson throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends MacLeay to the neutral corner.  He threatens Stevenson with a point deduction if he keeps fouling.  
Stevenson is on target with a jab.  Stevenson tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
MacLeay gets on the inside and attempts to land a right hook, but Stevenson blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  MacLeay has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

MacLeay forces Stevenson to retreat into a corner.  MacLeay sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Stevenson connects with a right uppercut.
