Cortez Mare vs Montenegro David

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro,  taking place on 24/05/2036:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Cortez Mare (6(6) - 0) who hails from Tijuana, Mexico and Montenegro David(2 - 0) from Goiania, Brazil.  Mare weighed in at 139 pounds and 12 ounces, while David weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Onofre Coelho, and the three ringside judges are Xaverius Giraldo, Ricardo Souza and Tajo Cotta.  

Round 1: 

Mare is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mare pivots to the left of his opponent and lands with a stinging jab.  
Mare steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND DROPS DAVID!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Mare lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Mare lands with a hard jab.  
Mare steps inside.  Mare quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Mare lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Mare ties up his opponent.  Mare is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mare about fouling.  David quickly recovers. 
Mare advances into close range and throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Mare ties up his opponent.  Mare uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on David's kidney. Mare is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
David switches the action to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Mare gets on the inside and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mare drives a stinging left hook into David's ribs.  Mare holds on to his opponent.  Mare is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mare cuts off the ring, trapping David in the blue corner.  Mare is on target with a right hook to David's ribs.  
Mare lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Mare manages to force David onto the ropes.  Mare lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Mare lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Mare quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Mare digs in a left hook to David's liver.  
Mare is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents liver.  Mare clinches his opponent.  Mare is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Mare gets on the inside and lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Mare lands a stinging right hook.  
Mare is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
David tries to step out of his opponents range.  Mare lands two straights followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Mare steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, KNOCKING DAVID DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  David recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...David's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Mare connects with a right hook.  
Mare wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as David dabs at his face checking for damage.  
David tries to step out of his opponents range.  Mare lands a stinging overhand left.  
Mare advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mare cuts off the ring, trapping David in a neutral corner.  Mare lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
David lands a jab.  
Mare lands a spiteful jab.  
Mare steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head, AND SENDS DAVID TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  
Mare lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mare sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Mare manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Mare lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  David quickly recovers. 
Mare is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Mare lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND DROPS DAVID!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Mare advances into close range and slams a DEVASTATING right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  DAVID IS DOWN!  THE REF DOES NOT GIVE DAVID THE CHANCE TO BEAT THE COUNT...HE'S STOPPING THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Mare!
