Cody Weddel vs Barry Prichard

Boxing Daily Report from the RJM Boxing promoted show at Ice Arena, Cardiff,  taking place on 05/07/2036:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Wales Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cody Weddel (19(3) - 1(1)) who hails from Swansea, UK and Barry Prichard(8 - 6 - 4) from Cardiff, UK.  Both Weddel and Prichard weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dale Carrick, and the three ringside judges are Edwyn Brodie, Edwyn Brodie and Yasin Ozer.  

Round 1: 

Prichard pivots to the side of his opponent.  Weddel lands a stinging jab.  
Weddel advances into close range and drives a right hook into his opponents body.

Prichard throws a left hook, but Weddel holds on to his opponent.  Weddel tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Prichard's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Weddel about fouling.  
Weddel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Prichard throws a right uppercut, but Weddel holds on to his opponent.  Weddel tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Prichard behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Weddel.
