Vince Olajengbesi vs Shehu Salihu

Boxing Daily Report from the Adumensa Promotions promoted show at Maiduguri Inyam, Maiduguri,  taking place on 01/07/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Borno State Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vince Olajengbesi (13(11) - 0) who hails from Maiduguri, Nigeria and Shehu Salihu(10 - 17(6) - 3) from Maiduguri, Nigeria.  Olajengbesi weighed in at 153 pounds and 9 ounces, while Salihu weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Patrick Ekoku, and the three ringside judges are Olufemi Doda, Tunde Ogunlana and Ike Ararume.  

Round 1:

Olajengbesi drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Salihu hits home with a cross.

Salihu advances into close range.  Olajengbesi lands a right hook.  Olajengbesi holds on to his opponent.  Olajengbesi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Olajengbesi is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Olajengbesi feints a right hook, and then lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  He then lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head, AND KNOCKS SALIHU DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  Salihu quickly recovers.
