Brett Moncayo vs Macario Bastidas

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles,  taking place on 24/09/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Hitman Brett Moncayo (19(17) - 0) who hails from Reno, USA and Macario Bastidas(16 - 8(2)) from Puente Alto, Chile.  Both Moncayo and Bastidas weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dylan Waddell, and the three ringside judges are Malcolm Waldie, Billy Fergusson and John Factor.  

Round 1: 

Moncayo is looking to keep his distance.  Bastidas sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Moncayo lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Moncayo sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bastidas lands with a ramrod jab.  
Moncayo lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Bastidas quickly recovers. 
Bastidas is on target with a jab.  
Moncayo connects with a solid left uppercut.  
Bastidas attempts to land a left hook, but Moncayo blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Bastidas tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Moncayo lands with a spiteful jab.  
Bastidas manouvers Moncayo onto the ropes.  Moncayo lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Moncayo switches the action to the outside and lands a firm cross.  
Moncayo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bastidas lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Moncayo lands a sharp cross.  
Moncayo lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Moncayo lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Moncayo steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Moncayo connects with a sharp cross.  
Bastidas forces Moncayo to back into the ropes.  Bastidas lands a solid jab.  Bastidas tries to land a cross, but Moncayo sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Moncayo steps to the outside and lands a jab.  
Bastidas hits home with a right hook.  
Bastidas throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Bastidas forces Moncayo to back into the ropes.  Moncayo lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Bastidas gets on the inside.  Moncayo stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Moncayo lands a right hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents head.  He then lands a cross, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS BASTIDAS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  Bastidas now seems to have his senses back.  
Moncayo connects with a FIERCE cross.  BASTIDAS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Bastidas quickly recovers. 
Moncayo feints a left hook, and then lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Bastidas almost instantly recovers. 
Bastidas gets on the inside.  Moncayo lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Moncayo's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Bastidas's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Bastidas's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Moncayo switches the action to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Bastidas walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Moncayo is looking to force the stoppage!  Moncayo lands a VICIOUS right hook.  BASTIDAS IS DOWN!  HE ISNT GOING TO BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Moncayo!
