There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-SouthWest Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Sprout (19(5) - 12) who hails from El Paso, USA and Stephen Sutherland(28(4) - 18(10) - 2) from Tempe, USA.  Both Sprout and Sutherland weighed in at 130 pounds.

Sutherland manouvers Sprout onto the ropes.  Sprout throws a left hook, but Sutherland ties up his opponent.  Sutherland is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Sutherland tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Sprout's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sutherland about fouling.  
Sutherland lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Sutherland gets on the inside.  Sutherland sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.

Sprout is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.

Sutherland wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Sprout.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Sprout steps to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Sutherland closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 9, lets listen in on the corners...Sprout's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!
