Jeong-ho Shon vs Jae-sung Bak

Boxing Daily Report from the Badu Promotions promoted show at Ui-jo Yang Gym, Chungju,  taking place on 02/10/2036:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Korea-North Chungcheong Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jeong-ho Shon (9 - 15(3)) who hails from Cheongju, South Korea and Jae-sung Bak(16 - 5) from Cheongju, South Korea.  Both Shon and Bak weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ki-hun Yoh, and the three ringside judges are Woo-young Koh, Seung-dae Jin and Kee-hee Pu.  

Round 1: 

Bak closes the distance and lands a left hook.  
Bak lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Shon throws a right hook, but Bak ties up his opponent.  Bak is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Bak is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Bak.  
Bak lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Bak holds on to his opponent.  Bak throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bak connects with a right hook.  
Shon lands a left hook.  
Bak steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Bak quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Bak is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Shon switches the action to the outside.  Shon stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Bak is on target with a cross.  
Shon steps inside.  Bak sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Bak advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Shon steps away from his opponent and tries to land an overhand right, but Bak slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Bak is looking to close the distance and manages to force Shon into a corner.  Shon throws a right hook, but Bak clinches his opponent.  Bak pushes his forearm into Shon's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Bak about fouling.  
Bak hits home with a cross.  
Bak forces Shon to retreat into the blue corner.  Bak is on target with a right hook.  
Bak digs in a left uppercut to Shon's liver.  
Bak sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bak lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Bak ties up his opponent.  Shon pushes his forearm into Bak's face.  The ref breaks Bak's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Bak lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Bak steps inside.  Bak connects with a right hook.  Shon wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Bak has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused swelling  around the left eye.  
Bak lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Shon's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Shon's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Shon's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
