Gyn Llandinam vs Pirkka Merikanto

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at House of Blues, Boston,  taking place on 18/10/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gyn Llandinam (27(6) - 2(1)) who hails from Boston, USA and Pirkka Merikanto(13 - 1 - 1) from Vantaa, Finland.  Both Llandinam and Merikanto weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike Stobie, and the three ringside judges are Fred Reese, Sam Evans and Richard Gwenn.  

Round 1: 

Merikanto attempts to land a jab, but Llandinam sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Llandinam digs in a right hook to Merikanto's ribcage.  
Llandinam lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Llandinam clinches his opponent.  Llandinam pushes his forearm into Merikanto's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Llandinam to stop fouling.  
Llandinam advances into close range and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Llandinam lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Merikanto throws a right hook, but Llandinam holds on to his opponent.  Llandinam tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Merikanto behind the head. Llandinam leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Llandinam is on target with a firm left hook to Merikanto's body.  
Llandinam closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Llandinam steps inside and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs, DROPPING MERIKANTO TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  Merikanto recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Llandinam digs in a solid left uppercut to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Merikanto's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Merikanto's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Llandinam walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Llandinam lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Llandinam lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Llandinam is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Llandinam closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Merikanto almost instantly recovers. 
Llandinam quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Llandinam lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  Llandinam attempts to land a jab, but Merikanto slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Llandinam's body.  
Llandinam hits home with a left hook.

Llandinam manages to force Merikanto into the corner.  Llandinam connects with a stinging left uppercut.  
Llandinam lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Llandinam lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Llandinam holds on to his opponent.  Llandinam leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.
