Santiago Gomez vs Quiqui Cespedes

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ecuador-Guayas promoted show at Guayaquil Hinojosa, Guayaquil,  taking place on 16/10/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Santiago Gomez (6 - 10(1) - 3) who hails from Quito, Ecuador and Quiqui Cespedes(13(8) - 1(1)) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Gomez and Cespedes weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dario Ramirez, and the three ringside judges are Alano Camejo, Jesus Luy and Cipriano Carrera.  

Round 1: 

Gomez attempts to land an overhand left, but Cespedes sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Cespedes manouvers Gomez into the corner.  Cespedes digs in a solid right hook to his opponents body.

Cespedes is looking to close the distance.  As Gomez tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cespedes dabs at his face checking for damage.
