Jacob Bowen vs Max Ballan

Boxing Daily Report from the Phala Promotions promoted show at Adelaide Buckley, Adelaide,  taking place on 17/10/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-South Australia Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jacob Bowen (3 - 11) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and Max Ballan(7 - 2) from Adelaide, Australia.  Bowen weighed in at 140 pounds, while Ballan weighed in at 139 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Richie MacRae, and the three ringside judges are Adam Pennison, Ben Samaras and Richie MacRae.  

Round 1: 

Bowen steps inside and walks Ballan down, trapping him in a corner.  Ballan digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Bowen tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with a cross.  
Ballan is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.

Ballan lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Ballan holds on to his opponent.  Ballan uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Bowen behind the head. The referee warns Ballan and breaks the clinch.  
Ballan pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a left hook into Bowen's body.  
Ballan is looking to keep his distance and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Bowen tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.

Ballan walks his opponent onto the ropes.  As Bowen tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Ballan has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused swelling  around the right eye.
