Gethin Phillips vs Dan Pryce

Boxing Daily Report from the Mainza Promotions promoted show at Mercure Bolton Georgian House Hotel, Bolton,  taking place on 17/10/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Northern England Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gethin Phillips (14(2) - 15(1)) who hails from Doncaster, UK and Dan Pryce(10 - 13(5) - 1 - 1(NC)) from Wakefield, UK.  Both Phillips and Pryce weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bryan Darrow, and the three ringside judges are Timothy Yates, Ken McRoberts and Russell Gwilym.  

Round 1: 

Phillips connects with a right hook.  
Phillips digs in a firm left uppercut to Pryce's body.

Phillips drives a stinging left uppercut into Pryce's body.  As Phillips tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Pryce has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
