John Maes vs Noe Gonzalez

Boxing Daily Report from the Paradoxia promoted show at Paradoxia Gym, Anchorage,  taking place on 12/10/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are John Maes (5 - 0) who hails from San Diego, USA and Noe Gonzalez(7 - 7 - 6) from Santiago de Cuba, Cuba.  Both Maes and Gonzalez weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Byers, and the three ringside judges are Felix Campbell, Bryan Hindman and Leon Chisolm.  

Round 1: 

Maes connects with a left hook.  
Gonzalez feints a cross, and then tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Maes advances into close range and is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
Gonzalez switches the action to the outside.  Maes sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Maes closes the distance and attempts to land a right hook, but Gonzalez blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Maes lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Maes lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Maes manages to force Gonzalez into the corner.  Maes is on target with a right uppercut.  
Maes sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Maes digs in a right hook to Gonzalez's ribs.  
Maes steps inside and lands a sharp left uppercut.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Gonzalez has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused a slight cut above.  
As Maes tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gonzalez dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Maes lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Maes closes the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Gonzalez on the ropes.  Maes is on target with a right hook.  
Maes is on target with a right hook.  Maes tries to land a left uppercut, but Gonzalez sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.
