Garrin Apt vs Keiichi Matsumoto

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Tokyo promoted show at Shinjuku FACE, Tokyo,  taking place on 30/10/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Garrin Apt (32(28) - 0) who hails from Bochum, Germany and Keiichi Matsumoto(5 - 0) from Yokohama, Japan.  Apt weighed in at 140 pounds, while Matsumoto weighed in at 139 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Isamu Shibuya, and the three ringside judges are Hideki Ishibashi, Jiro Fukumoto and Kaede Yamazaki.  

Round 1: 

Matsumoto throws a right hook, but Apt ties up his opponent.  Matsumoto hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Apt is looking to close the distance.  Matsumoto throws a right hook, but Apt ties up his opponent.  Apt leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Matsumoto drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  Apt ties up his opponent.  Apt pushes his forearm into Matsumoto's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Apt about fouling.

Apt gets on the inside.  Matsumoto attempts to land a left hook, but Apt slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Matsumoto connects with a firm left uppercut.  Apt holds on to his opponent.  Apt leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Apt's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Apt lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Apt contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Matsumoto hits home with a cross.  Matsumoto tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Apt is looking to close the distance and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Apt is on target with a right uppercut to Matsumoto's ribs.  
Apt quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Apt lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS MATSUMOTO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Apt holds on to his opponent.  Apt is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Matsumoto recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Matsumoto pivots to the side of his opponent.  Matsumoto attempts to land a left hook, but Apt slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Apt steps inside and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Apt ties up his opponent.  Apt leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Apt manouvers Matsumoto into the corner.  Apt lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Matsumoto's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Matsumoto's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Apt lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Apt digs in a telling left uppercut to Matsumoto's ribs.  MATSUMOTO IS HURT!  Matsumoto recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Matsumoto tries to land a left hook, but Apt sidesteps and counters with a firm right hook.  
Apt quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Apt lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Apt throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Apt closes the distance.  Apt thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Matsumoto away.  Apt lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND MATSUMOTO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  
Apt lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES MATSUMOTO!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Matsumoto now seems to have his senses back.  
Matsumoto lands a right hook.  
Matsumoto throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Apt lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Apt lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Apt walks Matsumoto down, trapping him in a corner.  Apt lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Apt lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Matsumoto throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  
Apt is on target with a solid left hook to Matsumoto's ribs.  
Apt steps inside and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head, AND SENDS MATSUMOTO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Matsumoto can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Apt!
