Dave Elley vs Rob Angius

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-Western Australia promoted show at Perth Mickle, Perth,  taking place on 30/10/2036:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Australia-Western Australia Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Elley (10(5) - 6(3)) who hails from Perth, Australia and Rob Angius(5 - 9(3) - 3) from Perth, Australia.  Both Elley and Angius weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Haider Yassin, and the three ringside judges are Matt Dickins, Euan Gregor and Tobias Morton.  

Round 1: 

Angius pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Elley drives a ramrod jab into his opponents face.  
Elley tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a jab, but Angius slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Angius advances into close range.  Elley hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  Elley ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Elley pushes his forearm into Angius's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Angius wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Elley.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Elley tries to keep the action at long range and finds the target with a jab.  
Angius gets on the inside.  Elley lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Elley snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Elley steps to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Elley lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Elley tries to keep the action at long range.  Elley quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Angius recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Elley lands an overhand left, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Angius gets on the inside.  Elley sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Angius throws a left hook, but Elley clinches his opponent.  Elley leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Elley pushes his forearm into Angius's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Elley to stop fouling.  
Angius walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Elley hits home with a solid jab.  Elley attempts to land a right uppercut, but Angius dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Elley tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a stinging cross.  
Angius steps inside.  Elley pivots from in front of his opponent.  Angius throws a left hook, but Elley ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Angius walks Elley onto the ropes.  Elley is on target with a left uppercut.  
Elley is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Elley lands a jab to Angius's body.  
Elley drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Angius tries to land a jab, but Elley slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Elley pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a jab, cross and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Angius's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Angius's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
