Hisoka Niwa vs Ryo Kusumoto

Boxing Daily Report from the Lampi Promotions promoted show at Sapporo Tachibana, Sapporo,  taking place on 01/11/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Hokkaido Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hisoka Niwa (29 - 5(2)) who hails from Sapporo, Japan and Ryo Kusumoto(12 - 8(1) - 4) from Sapporo, Japan.  Both Niwa and Kusumoto weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Satoru Yasui, and the three ringside judges are Kyo Kawabata, Eiji Suzuki and Raiden Takamoto.  

Round 1: 

Niwa closes the distance and lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kusumoto is on target with a left uppercut.  
Niwa steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Niwa connects with a left hook.  
Niwa closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Niwa connects with a left uppercut.  
Niwa advances into close range and connects with a right uppercut.  Niwa throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Niwa gets on the inside.  Niwa quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Kusumoto throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kusumoto pivots from in front of his opponent.  Niwa throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Niwa ties up his opponent.  Niwa tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Kusumoto's kidney. The referee warns Niwa and breaks the clinch.  
Niwa is looking to close the distance.  Niwa lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Kusumoto wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Niwa dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Niwa lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Niwa lands a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kusumoto's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Kusumoto's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Kusumoto tries to step out of his opponents range.  Niwa is on target with a cross.

Niwa lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Kusumoto tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Niwa drives a left hook into his opponents body.
