Diego Navarrete vs Mikio Yamashita

Boxing Daily Report from the Fighting spirit promoted show at Komazawa Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 10/11/2036:

Clearly Fighting spirit have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Navarrete (25(20) - 0) who hails from Mixco, Guatemala and Mikio Yamashita(2 - 1 - 2) from Saitama, Japan.  Both Navarrete and Yamashita weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kazuhiko Ide, and the three ringside judges are Isamu Shibuya, Kazuhiko Ide and Hisoka Enomoto.  

Round 1: 

Navarrete lands with a stinging jab.  
Navarrete lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Navarrete is on target with a jab.  
Navarrete is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Navarrete switches the action to the outside.  Navarrete feints a cross, and then lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Navarrete lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND YAMASHITA IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Navarrete attempts to land a right uppercut, but Yamashita parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Navarrete feints a jab, tricking Yamashita into countering with a left uppercut.  Navarrete avoids the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Navarrete sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands an overhand left.  
Navarrete lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Yamashita steps inside.  Yamashita quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Yamashita attempts to land a left uppercut, but Navarrete blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook to his opponents liver.  
Yamashita gets on the inside and manouvers Navarrete onto the ropes.  Yamashita sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Yamashita throws a right hook, but Navarrete clinches his opponent.  Navarrete is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Navarrete about fouling.  
Navarrete lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Navarrete lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Navarrete lands a stinging jab.  
Navarrete hits home with a stinging jab.  
Yamashita closes the distance.  Navarrete pivots to the left of his opponent.  Navarrete lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Navarrete ties up his opponent.  Navarrete is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Navarrete and breaks the clinch.  
Navarrete lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Navarrete clinches his opponent.  Yamashita leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Navarrete tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Navarrete lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Navarrete lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Navarrete lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Navarrete throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  Yamashita almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Yamashita walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Yamashita tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook to Yamashita's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Yamashita's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Yamashita's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Navarrete senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Navarrete lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two straights followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  The winner by KO is Navarrete!
