Ximen Lugo vs Jerrold Espin

Boxing Daily Report from the JSW promoted show at Estadio Tomas Arrieta, Barranquilla,  taking place on 24/11/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Colombia Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ximen Lugo (17(14) - 1) who hails from Barranquilla, Colombia and Jerrold Espin(13 - 0) from Buenaventura, Colombia.  Lugo weighed in at 129 pounds and 15 ounces, while Espin weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Milan, and the three ringside judges are Quito Quesada, Rodrigo Torres and Iago Ortiz.  

Round 1: 

Lugo lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Lugo holds on to his opponent.  Espin leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Lugo pushes his forearm into Espin's face.  The ref breaks Lugo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Lugo advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Espin throws a left uppercut, but Lugo clinches his opponent.  Lugo pushes his forearm into Espin's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lugo closes the distance and is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents body.

Lugo lands two right uppercut's to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Lugo throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Lugo holds on to his opponent.  Espin is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Lugo tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Espin attempts to land a left hook, but Lugo parries the shot and counters with a sharp left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Espin throws a left hook, but Lugo holds on to his opponent.  Espin pushes his forearm into Lugo's face.  The referee warns Espin and breaks the clinch.  
Espin throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Lugo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Lugo lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Lugo lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Espin advances into close range.  Lugo throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Lugo advances into close range.  Espin throws a left hook, but Lugo holds on to his opponent.  Lugo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Lugo about fouling.  
Lugo connects with a SAVAGE cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE ESPIN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Lugo gets on the inside.  Lugo thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Espin away.  Lugo lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES ESPIN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  Espin now seems to have his senses back.  
Lugo hits home with a stinging cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Espin's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Lugo closes the distance and whips in a nasty left hook to his opponents body.  ESPIN IS HURT!  Lugo clinches his opponent.  Lugo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Lugo throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Lugo senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Espin and just needs the right shot.  Lugo lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES ESPIN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Espin gets on the inside.  Lugo lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS ESPIN DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  
Lugo lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS ESPIN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  It looks like Espin has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Espin sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Espin throws a left hook, but Lugo clinches his opponent.  Lugo leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Espin pushes his forearm into Lugo's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Espin attempts to land a left hook, but Lugo sidesteps and counters with a left hook to Espin's liver.  
Lugo closes the distance.  Espin lands a left hook.  Lugo ties up his opponent.  Lugo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Lugo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Lugo is on target with a DEVASTATING left hook.  ESPIN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  THE REF DOES NOT GIVE ESPIN THE CHANCE TO BEAT THE COUNT...HE'S STOPPING THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Lugo!
